We had this fire place guard on for 6 years, it had these adhesive on it so when I finally pulled it off a few weeks ago it pulled a layer of paint off with it. Along with the fact that Silver fell asleep and knocked over the screen making a big black mark on the hearth it needed to be repainted. I decided on a whim that I wanted to paint it black! I went to Lowes and bought everything I needed and went for it!
