Our trip!

We played lots of games, Wal Mart was having a sale on games so we bought Connect 4, Operation, Battleship, Blink, War and Trivial Pursuit. The kids loved connect 4 and operation, Donovan and I loved Blink and War.

Photobucket

We went to San Luis Obispo Children's museum they had the most amazing exhibits!

They had a human organ which had air blowing out of galvanized pipes and when you put your hand over the holes it made music!

They had a movie making program where you took photos and then they put them together into a movie. Here is Donovan's movie.

They had an exhibit, that I can't really explain!

We went to Avila Farm
and saw the cutest cow ever!

One the way home we saw the most amazing rainbow:

And then it started raining...HARD!

We made it home safely, after an 8 hour drive that should have taken us 5 hours!

We had Thanksgiving at the Hirsch house, it was a delicious day.

The boys spent most of the day in the library playing video games:

Photobucket

It was a cloudy and cool day, is this what a Thanksgiving is supposed to be? It's usually 80 degrees outside!

We watched Alvin and the Chipmunks and my mother-in-love and I watched Dirty Dancing! Of course the kids walked in during the love scene so we had to turn it off!

We saw this bug, it was seriously HUGE, like 3" long! YUCK!

Do not judge, and you will never be mistaken.

Some people were shocked and very worried when we said we were moving to Moreno Valley. Someone even said "you are moving to Po Val?". I would have to say we live in a pretty safe neighborhood, we left our garage door open all night long. My purse was in the front seat of our unlocked car along with the navigation system and it didn't get touched. A few days later we had the trailer out in front of the house and someone (I won't name names) left it unlocked all night long. Wasn't touched!

I feel braindead, but this time wasn't my fault!!

We went to have a transmission cooler installed on our truck so it stays cool while we tow the trailer. I made an appointment and set it up with my mom to pick me up and take me home and then Donovan and I were going to pick it up when he was off work. So I drop it off, my mom and I go to the gym and then run by the place to see how much longer it will be. The mechanic says maybe 2:00 and they will call me. My mom and I decide that we can spend a few calories since we just burnt some, so we went to breakfast! I get a call just before we get our meal and the auto mechanic says that we already have the transmission cooler, it was factory installed! DOH! So I had my mom drop me off and then I went to pick up Isabella from school. Well, at least I got to spend the morning with my mom!

VIVA!

I was looking for a place in Vegas that has child care and I found this hotel:

Sunset Station

They have great rates, I got 2 nights for $59 each!
They have
child care YAY! So, Donovan and I can go out to dinner and gamble for a few hours while the kids burn some energy!
There is also a movie theater on the property so Donovan and I can go see a movie also!

The only downside is that hotel is 12 miles away from the strip.

We are going in early January, I absolutely can not wait!

someone loves me, they really really love me!

Photobucket

1. Name 5 things you love.
2. Pass the award on to 5 blogs you love.
3. Link back to the giver's blog, and tell how fabulous they are.

5 Thing that I love:
1. My kiddos! They are amazing, they make me laugh by doing the simplest things.
2. My husband! He is so kind and generous, he works SO hard, gives in to my every whim. Loves me to pieces.
3. Camping, I love being outside, riding bikes, cooking in the campfire and the s'mores, oh the s'mores!
4. Artsy stuff, I love creating, sewing, scrapbooking, painting. Anything that I can create from a Michael's or JoAnn's trip.
5. Cooking, baking, cooking tv shows, trying new restaurants. Anything to do with food, no wonder I'm fat!

5 Blogs that I love:
Gramma's House
Aunt Carol-she is one of the most amazing storytellers, she is so wise and so fun.

It's the little things in life
This is Sarah, she stalked me on myspace and I'm so glad she did! She is absolutely hilarious, I crack up every time I read anything that comes from her...fingertips.

Leap Into Art
She has amazing and easy ideas to keep your kids entertained and interested in art.

I wish I were a Ballerina
I don't quite know how I found her blog but I love it. I love all of the ideas she loves, all of the wedding dresses. It makes me want to be a wedding planner!

The Epic Beat
He is an amazing photographer, look through the whole blog to see all of his work, it's stunning.

And last but not least, Sarah. I don't know her very well...yet. We share a table at MOPS and from the month or so that we have been in MOPS I know that she is an amazing person, so kind. She is a wonderful mom of a sweet little girl. And she's a foodie like me, what could be better!

insane people flock to me

I was driving, going the speed limit about a car length behind the car in front of me and the lady behind me is tailgating me. So much so that I can't even see her hood, all I see is her angry toothless face (sorry, I couldn't help it) and I raise my arms and shrug like "what do you want me to do?" and she flips me off! What the heck?! So the light turns and she gets in the lane next to me and rolls her window down and starts yelling at me! She had a kid in the front seat of the car and she was screaming and cursing up a storm. I made the international coo coo sign, you know finger around the ear. That made her even more angry! I thought she was going to jump out of her car! Insane.

Christmas

already! I found the kids gift, and it's $40 off until Nov. 30 so we are buying it this weekend.

We also asked Isabella if she would rather have a party or go out to the Spaghetti Factory and then go on a carriage ride in downtown Riverside. She picked the carriage ride, yay! I am getting her a new Cinderella costume since her old one is too small now. She's going to love it!

random photos

We visited my papa again, he was miserable in the place where he was recovering. There were 3 beds per room and the nurses weren't friendly...at all! Here is the only shot that I took from there, a husband and wife, he is pushing her in his wheelchair!

Photobucket

I parked under this nice shady tree for about 30 minutes and got ambushed!
Photobucket

We also went to Sonic, my first time ever! I loved it, we didn't have to move an inch, the credit card machine was right there, you push the button if you need anything. Awesome! I talked to the manager and he told me they are building a Sonic a few miles from my house and then another about 5 miles away in the next few years. Whoo!

The kids loved sitting in the front seat.
Photobucket
The menu was overwhelming, I'm more of an In-N-Out gal, 4 things on the menu!

Here is Isabella's new talent:

Now what took so stinking long? And though I'm happy about Obama I am sad and disappointed that prop 8 passed. What century is it again?

I get to sleep in!

I just found out that Isabella has Friday, Monday and Tuesday off! 5 day weekend...yay!

Isabella: we're gonna go on a boat?
Me: no, we're going to vote, with a V
Isabella: what's vote?
Me: yada yada yada (trying to explain politics to a 5 year old)
Isabella: ok, can I vote?
Me: no, but you can go with me until you are 18. when you are 18 you can vote.
Isabella: Ok

so we finish voting, get in the car and Isabella says: now do we get to go on the boat?

visit

We visited Hemet today to see my papa. He is cracking jokes, asking lots of sweet questions and is always trying to keep up the conversation! He seems to be doing good on the outside, but the doctor said he isn't looking good on the inside. His kidneys have failed, his heart is failing, he has fluid in his lungs and his heart rate is really low. They want to install a pacemaker tomorrow but they discovered a murmur so they think he has a clogged artery. They aren't sure he can handle the surgery at his age and how it will go with the murmur. He is also on blood thinners so that is worrysome also. It's all so scary, I hate this.

Here is the card that Isabella made him:

Papa loved it and wanted to have his photo with it (and he normally hates having his photo taken) so here is that:

Photobucket

We also made some tissue paper flowers, I've got glitter all over my car from these things!

I would still appreciate prayers, I'm not ready to let my papa go yet.

my current favorite CD

Jason Mraz

I could listen to this CD on repeat all day long. Literally.

Here is my favorite song from it:

Second favorite:

Please, go buy this CD. You will not be disappointed!

lucky Donovan!

He is going to New Mexico from Monday afternoon to Thursday afternoon. I think I'm going to go crazy without him here!

to hug or not to hug?

I was walking out of the grocery store about an hour ago and a girl in her early 20's was walking and holding a baby right in front of me. Her cell phone rings and within a minute she is hysterical, crying and screaming, she stops and puts the baby in the car and is parked right next to my car where I am loading groceries into the trunk. I was about to go up and ask her if she was ok and give her a hug but then all of my stranger/germs/rejection fears popped into my head. I quickly got over it and was about to walk over to her when her mom walks up pushing the cart with all the groceries and asks her what is wrong and hugs her. She told her mom that a friend was in a coma after being in a really bad accident overnight. So here's my question...

would you hug a stranger? I felt awkward but I was going to do it, next time I will.

1 more for the night

We made cupcakes on Thursday for Donovan's work, the kids had so much fun!

I told Zach he could lick the bowl, he took me seriously! He literally licked it, stuck his head inside and all:

I discovered a few years ago that icing cupcakes with a piping bag is SO easy and so much fun!

Here are my faves:

Isabella loved icing them too, she wanted pink icing!

It's raining, it's pouring!

We just got our couch delivered, in the pouring rain! The time frame was 6pm-10pm and they showed up at about 10:15, luckily we didn't have any plans and we are always up late on Saturday nights. Anywho, here is what we bought:

A reclining leather sofa and a ottoman with storage, it has seats and flips over and has trays it you want to set drinks down.

Living Spaces

Is AWESOME! This place is HUGE, has a babysitting area (too bad Zach was too short to go in), free cookies, free lemonaid for the kids and Starbucks for the adults. They have those cool car looking strollers so the kids don't run around. They have an amazing selection. Stay tuned for a photo later to see what we bought. I can't wait!

Something else that is awesome: Dirt Devil Kruz check out the commercial. And then go to Best Buy and get it for 1 easy payment of $39.99 instead of 4 payments of $24.95 + $8.95 shipping.
