My cousin's husband is an amazing photographer as well as an amazing EMT/firefighter. He took some amazing shots at the fires last week. Check em out.

Frustrating
I went to the doctor today to get meds for the cold that I have had for 2 1/2 weeks now. My appointment was at 10:40, I got there at 10:35. Sitting in a waiting room with 4 other sick people and a hyper 2 year old that I am trying to keep from getting sick was a task in itself. I was going to sit outside but the air is so thick and gross I thought it wasn't a good idea. So, they finally called me back at 11:20 and I was hoping I would be out fast because I had to pick Isabella up at 12:00. At 11:45 I had to tell the nurse that I had to leave. They wouldn't give me my co-pay back, they said it had been processed (it was a check, get it out of the drawer that you just put it in!) and said they would credit my account. For some reason I think I just lost my $10.

Fun day
We went to Live Oak pumpkin patch today and we had a great time!
Driving out toward the desert was like the Texas Dust Bowl that my grandpa always talks about from the 1930's.
Here we are with Frankenstein, the Grim Reaper was there but Zach wouldn't get anywhere near him!
Zach wouldn't ride the pony, here is Isabella, she loved it.
There must be a lot of people feeding the goats because they had no interest in our pellets!
They did like leaves though.
Zach's overalls came unsnapped at the crotch when he sat down so I squatted down to re-snap them and a goat started chewing on my shirt! A lady had to shoo the goat away to get him to stop! Apparently you shouldn't wear green around animals, this llama tried to take a bite out of me too.
The look on my face in this one cracks me up!
Isabella named all 4 pigs Wilbur, so here is Wilbur III, happy with dirt on his nose.
Isabella with her perfect pumpkin.
They had huge sunflowers there, some were about 12 feet tall and 2 feet round. Amazing!

THE most amazing person
Nick Vujicic spoke at The Grove tonight. It was without a doubt the most moving speach that I have ever heard. I encourage you to visit his site and if you are in the area see him speak. He has a few more engagements in Riverside area.
I was brought to tears more than a few times, by his words, by his physicalstrength and by his faith in God.
Garage sale
We are allowed to have 2 garage sales a year in our association, today was the fall garage sale. We made a whopping...$17! At least it paid for lunch. Which, by the way was grody. I thought Chic-fil-a was supposed to be good? I was not impressed.

LAZY
I have had a cold for about a week now and it is wiping me out! I'm not sleeping good at night because of the crazy cough so during the day I am exhausted. Thursday is normally my "get things done" day since we don't have school or dance class but I just can't seem to get off my behind today. I am out of coffee and diet coke, I couldn't even contemplate drinking one of Donovan's regular soda's with my weigh in tomorrow! So, I guess I will continue to sit!

Sunday
Donovan and Zach went to the SR-71 show at March Museum so Isabella and I decided to have some fun at home. We had a tea party with a few friends and then painted.
We used my grandmother's tea set that she got as a a bridal shower present in the 1940's. The china was a wedding present from when my mom and dad were married in 1968. We snacked on grapes, yogurt covered pretzels and chocolates that Donovan brought home from his business trip.
A few friends joined us:
We had sprinkles in our sugar just like at the tea house:
Isabella's tea consised of about 1 tablespoon of tea, lots of milk and LOTS of sugar!
We mixed cool whip and jello and painted on black paper, she loved it!
Here is the rainbow that we made:
They were fun but the cool whip never hardened and I was worried about ant factor so we had to throw them away.

the fair
We went to the fair at the Perris fairgrounds tonight. Thanks to Alicia who's husband is a musician who played at the fair we got in for free and had free parking! Awesome! We had a great time.
We went to support our fellow dancers from California Dancer. The girls said it was toooo loud.
We pet lots of animals:
Fed a zebra with a spoon!
How funny is this photo!
We saw some beautiful cows:
Took some silly photos:
They picked one ride since it was $3 per kid! =0
Zoey is comforting Zach
They LOVED it!
We watched a silly turkey race:

typical
I met Donovan's mom and dad for lunch at Simple Simon's today. I got a roast beef sandwich and the kids shared a peanut butter sandwich. That was...3 hours ago. I am sitting in my la-z-boy chair and I put my cold hands under my thighs and I feel something. I had a piece of Zach's sandwich stuck to my jeans!

my morning walk
I knew I wouldn't have time to go to my spinning class this morning so we took a walk around the lake at the bottom of our street.
About 2 blocks into it my new socks aren't cutting it, they are falling down every other step that I take. I try pulling it up as far as I can and then wrapping it around the back of my shoe...no luck! So I sit down on the curb and take off my socks. Ouch. We get about 1/2 way around the lake (about 1/2 mile) and the sidewalk is closed for repairs! We have to turn around. So we go the long way...looong way! I try to enter through the main enterance...I forgot our ID's! We can't get in the park without ID's. Keep walking now there is a huge hill! AGH! So I ended up walking about 3 miles, which felt great when I was all done. But pushing a 42 pound girl, 30 pound boy in a 20 pound stroller up a huge hill was interesting. I think I will skip the walk tomorrow.

We had a hard night
Being a single parent is so hard, my hat is off to the single parents out there, it is hard work! We had dance class this morning and Zach wasn't himself, he was very winy and clingy. He took a long nap though so I thought that would help. Then later I was so excited to work out, I can leave the kids for 2 hours max at the gym babysitting so I got there early and swam laps and then attend my favorite aqua class. About half way through a friend of mine came into the pool area and told me that they were paging me to come to the kids club area. I went there and the lady who worked there said he had been crying for about an hour. When I got there he was still sniffing, red eyed and sad. He was happy to see me and ecstatic when I turned on the Wiggles CD in the car but as soon as we got home he started up again. Pretty much non stop for about an hour. I think he just missed daddy so I called him (11:00 in PA!) and he calmed down. Poor little dude! I can't wait for daddy to come home...3 more days.

I HATE being alone
My husband is on a business trip in Pittsburgh until Friday. I hate being alone! Every single noise that I hear scares me. But on the bright side I got lots done! I re-arranged Isabella's entire closet, painted a little sign, made spider hair clips and headbands, did 7 loads of laundry, vacuumed and mended a few things that i have been putting off. I have big plans for tomorrow too, our tv has never had such a break!
Will someone come snore in my face so that I can sleep tonight?

My kids LOVE this. They like it best when I make it say words like fart and poop, of course! But here is a little message, go get your kids, they will love it!
