I was at a stop light and a trash truck was next to me, I look over and 2 guys that look just like the dudes in ZZ Top are staring at me and smiling. What an ego boost! lol

Ghost Whisperer

Seriously? Why is this show still on the air? Is the population that watches this show 99.9% men? Do they watch it on mute?

I admit JLH is hot but do men not care that she is a few sandwiches short of a picnic?

10 years ago today...

I met my husband! We met in an AOL chat room called Riverside, we sarted chattiing daily. Within a week I started spilling my guts and I told him that I worked at Target on Arlington. The next day I worked the morning shift (5am-2pm) and didn't take a shower before my shift. I was walking through the housewares department and saw this hot guy and decided to stalk him. I asked him if he needed help, he didn't look at me, just shook his head no! Then I was called to work on the registers and I saw that cute guy and pulled him into my lane (remember, I hadn't showered that day!). I was so nervous that I spilled a roll of pennies all over the place. I rang him up without saying a word and he left. That night my AOL buddy told me that he went to target! The stalker becomes the stalkee! We meet in person at the UCR Juice it Up that night and spent practically every waking moment tofether after that.

fitting in

I feel like I never have fit in, I was never in the "in crowd" in school.
I never had the cool shoes (LA Gears, LOL!).
I was awkward, dorky and coudln't fiure out how to control my frizzy hair.

I still feel this way, at Isabella's school none of the mom's talk to me...deja vu!
I don't have $100 jeans.
I am still awkward, dorky, CLUMSY but thankfully I figured out how to control my hair.

Will I ever fit in? Should I care? I do sometimes but then deep down I really don't!

Tell me you feel this way sometimes too...please!

Napoleon Dynamite

I have this pen that says silly Napoleon Dynamite things:

Isabella was playing with it and said she likes the name Napoleon and wished we could call Zach Napoleon. Which is odd and hilarious since Donovan was a Napoleon Bonaparte nut when we were dating. He will be so proud of Isa!

back on track

I gave up on weight watchers in July, it was just too hard to take both kids to the meetings with me. I lost 68 pounds and I have since gained a few back. I got back on track today, I had a healthy breakfast and worked out this morning. I am planning on going to my first ww meeting this Friday morning... hopefully I can drop the weight that I gained by then! So if you see me in line at McDonalds feel free to smack me.

Here are my kids in our back yard (don't look at our grass!) they didn't know I was taping them. They seem so peaceful, I love it.

seatbelts

I was driving today and saw a little girl...maybe 6? Standing in the back of her car, facing the back window. I knew she wasn't wearing a seatbelt and I thought maybe the mom didn't so when the mom looked at me I tugged on seatbelt and then pointed to her daughter in the back seat. The mom flipped me off! I was SHOCKED!

giving up naps

is so hard! I so enjoyed my alone time, I just sit and read or mess around on my computer...and talk to adults! Now Isabella is with me for this extra time. I try to get her to have quiet time watching a movie but she comes in just about ever 47 seconds! I feel bad for even saying this, but being around anyone for 13 hours a day is hard!

2 weeks!

We went to the library today and I got way too many books, and I always do it. Why don't I just get one book?!

Saturday

I love Saturday's like this. We got out the old school Nintendo and the kids played duck hunt! It's amazing how kids who have never held a gun in their lives automatically know what to do with it.

The kids pulled out the tunnel and chased Mia in and out of it, Donovan tried but got tired just about half way through!

After naps we went to see Underdog and then had pizza for dinner. Then off to church and then home for some more video games!

Donovan has to work tomorrow, the extra money is sure helpful but having one day as a family sure stinks.

New Accord

I saw a cargo truck full of brand new 2008 Accords today, I am in love! They totally redesigned them and they look amazing.



They start at $20,000 and get 21/31 MPG!

My husband has a 2000 Accord with 120,000 miles, hopefully it was last us a lot more years but once it dies I think this will be our next car.

dessert

I bought this at WinCo on Sunday, made it tonight following the directions for the mousse, it was so good! I used 1% milk and fat free cool whip so it was pretty low in fat too. Zach loved it.

I slept for 13 hours last night. I just got the kids cold yesterday and I went to "rest" at 7:30pm last night and I didn't get up until 8:00 this morning. I haven't slept this many hours in...5 years!

soccer mom

I always told myself that I would never be one of...those moms. The ones with my kid is a superstar at blah blah blah sticker, the ones wearing sweats and a baseball cap. Well, I am one step closer to one of those moms, I got personalized plates!

cooking

I love to cook so when I find a recipe that my family and I love, I love to share it. Meatloaf has a bad rep. but I have loved it since I was a kid. I'm always on the hunt for a good meatloaf recipe and this one is goooood.

2 pounds ground round steak
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
3/4 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon Mrs. Dash
1/2 cup warm water
1 package Lipton's onion soup mix
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
2 slices of bacon

Mix all ingredients thoroughly, except for tomato sauce and bacon.
Put into loaf pan. Cover with 2 strips of bacon and then pour the tomato sauce over all. Bake at 350 degrees for an hour. Thanks to Donovan's mom for this recipe!

funny man

Today as my son and I were leaving my daughter's school a woman said hi to him. He didn't say hi so I told him that he needed to say hi back when someone says hi. So he says "hi back". LOL!
