insane people flock to me
I was driving, going the speed limit about a car length behind the car in front of me and the lady behind me is tailgating me. So much so that I can't even see her hood, all I see is her angry toothless face (sorry, I couldn't help it) and I raise my arms and shrug like "what do you want me to do?" and she flips me off! What the heck?! So the light turns and she gets in the lane next to me and rolls her window down and starts yelling at me! She had a kid in the front seat of the car and she was screaming and cursing up a storm. I made the international coo coo sign, you know finger around the ear. That made her even more angry! I thought she was going to jump out of her car! Insane.
Christmas
already! I found the kids gift, and it's $40 off until Nov. 30 so we are buying it this weekend.
We also asked Isabella if she would rather have a party or go out to the Spaghetti Factory and then go on a carriage ride in downtown Riverside. She picked the carriage ride, yay! I am getting her a new Cinderella costume since her old one is too small now. She's going to love it!

random photos
We visited my papa again, he was miserable in the place where he was recovering. There were 3 beds per room and the nurses weren't friendly...at all! Here is the only shot that I took from there, a husband and wife, he is pushing her in his wheelchair!

I parked under this nice shady tree for about 30 minutes and got ambushed!

We also went to Sonic, my first time ever! I loved it, we didn't have to move an inch, the credit card machine was right there, you push the button if you need anything. Awesome! I talked to the manager and he told me they are building a Sonic a few miles from my house and then another about 5 miles away in the next few years. Whoo!
The kids loved sitting in the front seat.

The menu was overwhelming, I'm more of an In-N-Out gal, 4 things on the menu!

Here is Isabella's new talent:

And here is a cute shot and Zach and daddy relaxing:

We voted!
Me: ok, let's go vote
Isabella: we're gonna go on a boat?
Me: no, we're going to vote, with a V
Isabella: what's vote?
Me: yada yada yada (trying to explain politics to a 5 year old)
Isabella: ok, can I vote?
Me: no, but you can go with me until you are 18. when you are 18 you can vote.
Isabella: Ok
so we finish voting, get in the car and Isabella says: now do we get to go on the boat?

visit
We visited Hemet today to see my papa. He is cracking jokes, asking lots of sweet questions and is always trying to keep up the conversation! He seems to be doing good on the outside, but the doctor said he isn't looking good on the inside. His kidneys have failed, his heart is failing, he has fluid in his lungs and his heart rate is really low. They want to install a pacemaker tomorrow but they discovered a murmur so they think he has a clogged artery. They aren't sure he can handle the surgery at his age and how it will go with the murmur. He is also on blood thinners so that is worrysome also. It's all so scary, I hate this.
Here is the card that Isabella made him:

Papa loved it and wanted to have his photo with it (and he normally hates having his photo taken) so here is that:

We also made some tissue paper flowers, I've got glitter all over my car from these things!

I would still appreciate prayers, I'm not ready to let my papa go yet.

my current favorite CD
Jason Mraz
I could listen to this CD on repeat all day long. Literally.
Here is my favorite song from it:
Second favorite:
Please, go buy this CD. You will not be disappointed!

lucky Donovan!
He is going to New Mexico from Monday afternoon to Thursday afternoon. I think I'm going to go crazy without him here!
to hug or not to hug?
I was walking out of the grocery store about an hour ago and a girl in her early 20's was walking and holding a baby right in front of me. Her cell phone rings and within a minute she is hysterical, crying and screaming, she stops and puts the baby in the car and is parked right next to my car where I am loading groceries into the trunk. I was about to go up and ask her if she was ok and give her a hug but then all of my stranger/germs/rejection fears popped into my head. I quickly got over it and was about to walk over to her when her mom walks up pushing the cart with all the groceries and asks her what is wrong and hugs her. She told her mom that a friend was in a coma after being in a really bad accident overnight. So here's my question...
would you hug a stranger? I felt awkward but I was going to do it, next time I will.

1 more for the night
We made cupcakes on Thursday for Donovan's work, the kids had so much fun!
I told Zach he could lick the bowl, he took me seriously! He literally licked it, stuck his head inside and all:

I discovered a few years ago that icing cupcakes with a piping bag is SO easy and so much fun!
Here are my faves:

Isabella loved icing them too, she wanted pink icing!

It's raining, it's pouring!
We just got our couch delivered, in the pouring rain! The time frame was 6pm-10pm and they showed up at about 10:15, luckily we didn't have any plans and we are always up late on Saturday nights. Anywho, here is what we bought:
A reclining leather sofa and a ottoman with storage, it has seats and flips over and has trays it you want to set drinks down.

Living Spaces
Is AWESOME! This place is HUGE, has a babysitting area (too bad Zach was too short to go in), free cookies, free lemonaid for the kids and Starbucks for the adults. They have those cool car looking strollers so the kids don't run around. They have an amazing selection. Stay tuned for a photo later to see what we bought. I can't wait!
Something else that is awesome: Dirt Devil Kruz check out the commercial. And then go to Best Buy and get it for 1 easy payment of $39.99 instead of 4 payments of $24.95 + $8.95 shipping.

I want to get married again
So I can steal every one of these ideas!
check out these photos
I love the way the photos are taken, sorta like the cover of The Sopranos DVD set. I love the tea length dresses. I love the candle light ceremony, and the way the candles are on fabric on different levels. I love the picture in the middle of the street and sitting in the red chairs, so untraditional (I made that word up).

come on!
I am so tired of cell phones. I waited for about 10 minutes at the doctors office while the girl behind the desk talked about make-up. She really likes MAC but it's so expensive, she likes Bare Minerals too. She's really excited that the Galleria is getting a Sephora.
Today I walked myself across the street (which isn't a big deal) while the crossing guard talked on his phone.
People have no work ethic anymore, could you possibly save your incredibly important conversation until after you are done with work?

Life's short
and I just wasted 3 minutes of mine on this.
I love this quote from a website:
I think the biggest downfall of our generation is that she headed the “anyone can be famous” movement, even if they have no talent or an uneducated but still smart enough to know how to brand and market herself as a fluffy piece of materialistic b.s. to morons can understand and little girls can mimic.

goal a week
So I'm up, it's 10:52 and I can't sleep. I decided in my late night laying in bed thinking session that I am going to make a goal a week and posting it here will keep me accountable.
This weeks goal is to vacuum/mop my floors every day. Back when Isabella was a baby I used to be able to do this but for some reason things are a tad bit busier these days!
So tomorrow I start, wish me luck!

Halloween party
Our neighbors throw the best Halloween parties ever! Angela makes the best food and SO much of it!
Isabella is a character called Sakura from the cartoon Naruto and Zachary is Naruto. They both loved the costumes.

This one makes me laugh:

Best costume went to Mrs. Doubtfire:

Funniest went to our neighbor Nick the nerd:

Cutest was Pippi! She wouldn't wear her little wig though. She had little patches all over her dress and carried a little monkey!

I discovered why Angela's food is so good...lard!

Last but not least here is my costume:

Do you want grilled onions with that?

I'm tired of wearing flip flops
My feet get SO dirty when I am in my flip flops all day long! My feet were literally black today. GROSS! I can't wait to wear jeans and hoodies and socks and converse and robes and sweatshirts, though not all at the same time. (could I BE wearing more clothes?!) Fall, hurry up and get here!
I just thought of the greatest Halloween costume!
Stay tuned for tomorrow's Halloween party photos. =)

I'm actually looking forward to jury duty!
I got my first jury duty summons in years, probably since before Isabella was born. I was upset about it until I learned that they have free child care for jurors. A day off, yay!
Maybe even a little adult conversation on my down time? What exactly do adults talk about? I don't ave time to watch anything about politics, I don't keep up with much celebrity gossip. Oh oh, I know...the weather!

excited (but still sick)
I found a great friend at Isabella's school, her name is Gina and her son Samuel and Isabella are so close. Isabella says she wants to marry Samuel (already boy crazy at 5 years old, I'm in for it!). Gina is awesome, we have tons in common and they live a few blocks away from us. They also have a little boy, Luke who is Zach's age. Isa and Samuel are on the same soccer team also.
We were talking today about carpooling a few times a week so I may not have to leave MOPS early any more. I hope I hope I hope!

my quirks
My friend Sarah posted some of her quirks so I decided to sort through mine and post them:
1. I frequently dream about other people being in my bed, so I get out of bed and get fully dressed and then get back into bed!
2. I twirl my hair ALL day long, often until my arms hurt!
3. I quote movies and tv shows all day long.
4. Sometimes I call my husband's cell phone in the middle of the night to record his snoring on his voice mail so he can see how loud he snores. (Hi, mom!)
5. I often pretend we aren't home when the doorbell rings. Mostly because I am usually in my jammies!
6. I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week, otherwise it gets too dry.
7. I recently bought a pair of shoes from a drag queen website! lol!
Ok, I think that's enough embarrassment for now!

11 hours of sleep
and I'm still exhausted.
But on another note, don't you love it when you feel like you have slept for 8 hours and it should be time to wake up at any moment but then you look at the clock and it's 12:00am? That happened to me twice last night! Once at midnight and then again at 3:00am. Now if only I didn't have to get up at 6:30 to take Isabella to school!
